Extended cost

I have searched everywhere, and I cant seem to find a guide on trinity extended cost.

Im looking to make a donation preview vendor (whic i have) and Im looking for only donors to be able to buy stuff for it (or gm rank V for vip) or simply make it so nobody can buy it only see it. Now I know how to do this for arcemu.. is it the same? Or no?

If someone can explain, or point me in the direction of a guide I would be grateful. +Rep for anyone who can help me!

Npc vendor tc2 - TrinityCore Wiki

The value here corresponds to the ID in ItemExtendedCost.dbc and that ID controls the item's non monetary price, be it honor points, arena points, different types of badges or any combination of the above.

You're going to need a special ID for the extended cost. You could edit ItemExtendedCost.dbc to add an ID that doesn't exist so that your players would have no chance of buying the item. Or you could just search through the DBC and find an existing ID.

The IDs are probably like arcemu, that's about it. Follow the example that the wiki I linked sets if you're stuck.

I've never actually messed with extendedcosts, I'm running solely on similar experiences and the TC wiki. :P

For an example: remake the Glowcap item to "L0zT SUPER EPic TOK3N UF DOOM" and use the code 1076 = Glowcap 20

Add a new row to the DBC and put the modified dbc in your servers "dbc" folder.
Then start using the custom ID.

In theory, that should work. I'd test it before you make it live, though.

You can script the npc to block the buying of the item, or even make it "whisper" the player the item links.
