SetModel(displayid) is correct. So you are right.

Although Unit:SendAreaTriggerMessage("Illidan is now entering Fifth Phase") will not work, as this will try to send the message to the unit.

Instead use a boss-raid-warning message, which you do like this:

Unit:SendChatMessage(42,0,"Illidan is now entering the Fifth Phase!")
