Custom INstance- help

So I finally setup my WoW private server, and things are going great. At the moment I am only having trouble with one thing. I've been searching the net for a guide or release of a custom instance. I can either find one for ArcEmu, or one that is not specified on what core it's for. Does it matter if you use in ArcEmu or MaNGOS? Maybe someone here a helpful link to a tutorial or release?

It doesn't matter what you use.

ArcEmu allows most information to be read through the database/core rather than the DBC's, which means blizzlike data is often harder to acquire but does mean easier customisation. It also has Lua which creates a very lightweight scripting environment which is just as effective as C++ (I use it on a server with 500+ on without any issues... No it doesn't cause huge lag).

Mangos has a slightly more complicated and less user-friendly database structure and command structure, but when you get used to it you should be able to do it.

Both emulators use the same methods for creating a custom instance as far as I am aware, as WoW functions the same way. You need to overwrite a blizzlike instance or unused map and simple do what you want with it.

You need to be more specific in the questions you ask, I could go on for ages about creating custom instances, I don't know what it is you want to know. I hope this answers some questions you had.


Edit: I completely misread your thread, no there are not any custom instances for mangos that have been released and an ArcEmu one won't work on Mangos.
