[ArcEmu] self compilation questions

I followed this guide and stopped - as i had a question that has yet been answred on there thread, so im trying here. He says to download DBC files for 3.0.9 - thats a little far back. Can i use that exact tut, but for 3.3.2?

Also, how do i Obtain DBC files from my client? - he gave a link to download from, or to get from the client, which Im curious of how to do. as no one asked the quesiton but me in that thread haha.

To get them from the client you should be able to download this

MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

Then unarchive it, put it all in World of warcraft\Data\enXX (XX is your clients language.. eu, fr, US etc)

then run ArcEmu English DBC Extractor.bat and enter what it asks for

should make a folder called dbc - and it should have a bunch of dbc files in it. Else it didnt work - I know im on 64 bit and for some reason the dbc extracter (C# one, not C++ one) crashes and does nothing (But works on 32 bit of same edition of windows and everything - even though compiled on 64bit)

But anyway. It SHOULD work.

thank you - worked like a charm. Do you know how I could get the Maps ? thats my next problem.

Yep, you should be. Im on 3.3.2 and it works 11403 i think is the version # or w/e. But the extracter should generally work for any patch #'s near the one it is designed for.

Aha alright. Maps... downlaod ad.exe from MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

put it in World of Warcraft\ directory and run ad.exe
itll take a while, and eventually after upto an hour or two it'll finish with a maps folder in ur wow directory. the folder itself should be well over 1gb

alrite cool - hey do u knwo if the tut i listed, will work with 3.3.2? - im not exactly upto dat eon skills. I havent been around in a couple years haha

Yeah. It looks like it should work - Only you'll have to make sure you are downloading the highest revisions from the SVN (Not selecting a lower revision) and that when you edit the configs in step 5 of his guide that the client minbuild and client maxbuild should be changed to your client build - You can find your client build by running wow, and at the login screen on the bottme left it should have a 4 or 5 digit number. In your config, your client minbuild and maxbuild should be that number.

The build numbers that i know of are -
3.2.0 - 10192
3.3.0 - 10958
3.3.2 - 11403

there are others, but i dont know them.

Alternatively, you might be able to set minbuild to 1 and maxbuild to 20000 and it should work. But thats a little dodgey way of doing it.

the svn downlaods the most upgraded arcemu files on its own, i believe.....I didnt pick a version - the link he gave automaticly downloaded the highest available. im assuming it should work...

Yeah it should work.. If you run into any errors i can teamview, otherwise i wouldnt bother really.
