how to set up your own Arcemu server no repack

So i want to make my own arcemu server because repacks are just to buggy with old shit in it.

So can anyone explain Or point me out to a nice guide how to setup my own arcemu server? Not repack And explain a little how this works and what are the + points in not using a repack ? I mean i looked some stuff up and alot of ppl saying repacks are full of old Datebase bugs and w/e.

So i just want to make my own arcemu server.

and also explain me how to upgrade it once a while ( So you wont lose Builded towns and other game objects and how to transfer Charecters etc )

Sorry to break it to you but compiling your own arc emu server is just as buggy or worse.

and what are the + points in not using a repack ?

1. You dont look like a noob.
2. You can add C++ scripts or fix bugs.
3. you get to decide what kind of database and shit, and you can also keep yours up to date while you have to wait for the original author to update a repack.

and also explain me how to upgrade it once a while

Simply update the source and recompile. basically click , wait, click , wait.

So basicly the + Point of making your own server is that you can always update it and add it? Then tbh i pref that then doing repacks..
