Best Emu For The Job

Hey Guys,
I understand the question which emulator is the best gets asked alot and first and foremost id like to stress that this is not one of them, I am just looking for peoples opinions as to what emu i should use.

I am trying to make my own storyline sorta area and I started using Aspire/Hearthstone until i realised my scripts wernt working, spent forever trying to fix em and then realised that some basic stuff such as achievements wernt working either.

So I decide to go back to my old friend arcemu but when using that i found that it was buggy, spell training had issues, one time i had the pally mount not go away after training which continued with the rest of em and other small issues here and there.

I need scripting, and more lua then c++ which kinda rules out mangos but any advice as to what core and db to use would be awesome... Core needs to be sorta blizzlike so i dont find custom stuff all over the joint

3.0.9 aspire and arcemu both work fine for Lua and general things if you apply a better Lua engine such as LuaAppArc or the GuaEngine.
3.1.x aspire and arcemu are both extreamly buggy, but I havn't tested Lua on arcemu 3.1.x and on aspire the GuaEngine has a patch that you can apply when you compile it to make it work.
