    [Request] Apache

    I got a Website that is apache, i have been tinkering w/ it and i have NO FREAKIN IDEA on how to make it run. I uploaded it to filefront and will post a link, Im a complete noob when it comes to Websites so please take the time to help. i will +Rep x3

    Btw make sure u make a folder on desktop or sumthin 1st i forgot to make it into a seperate folder.

    Ok, well first of all: this is the wrong section. I'am afraid this belongs in the Help section. But ok, now you posted it anyways...

    Apache is NOT a website. Apache is a webserver which you need to run websites on your local PC. The real website is in the /htdocs folder. The file you downloaded also included a PHP parser (an extention for the webserver, which turns your PHP scripts into html so your user's webbrowser can read it) and mySQL server (which allows you to actually save all your generated data in a secure location) included. But I think you've get some more information about Apache/PHP/(my)SQL first.

    Hint: Use google. If you just searched for 'Apache' on google you didn't have to make this thread.

    I did search it and come up with no way of knowing how to make it run.

    Web Help isn't in emulation section anymore, you actually have to go to the proper web programming section for it
