Issues Patching WoW to 1.12.1

I'm currently trying to reinstall my WoW client and patch it to 1.12.1. Obviously, because of the way Blizzard compiles multiple patches into single downloads, I have to install each patch manually, which is something I'm not familiar with. Now don't get me wrong, I know what I'm supposed to do, the issue I'm having is that when I try to start the first patch I need, (I bought my game in 2006 and the discs installed the game up to patch 1.9.4), I get an error message telling me that my game's file version is 2.4.3, which should not be the case. I did no patching from Blizzard after I installed the game so it should only be up to patch 1.9.4. In fact, when I mouse over wow.exe, the description lists it at 1.9.4. So can anyone tell me why the patches I downloaded think my client is 2.4.3, or more importantly, how to fix it?

Is this your only WoW folder? Because the patches might be programed to automatically find the default file location.

If you got a WoW CD thats from before TBC, and from when people used Patch 1.10 or before, then its easy. If not then its rather hard to force it, to downgrade it.
