    Mangos Server internet speed

    I made a rev 7664 mangos server on a computer next to me with 1G of ram. I'm on my computer sharing a router with the server computer and I lag really bad, but my friend is on server and he has no lag. Any one know reason/fixes for this? (Pretty sure i forwarded all ports)

    +Repif you help

    If you run the server + the client on same computer with 1gig of ram, that will happen..
    but if i read correctly you dont, so do you get high latency or does it just lag?

    You don't have "Unlimted" Upload speed, So you will lag if Computer is in your house I am guessing.

    Ya, I have server on one computer and I play on a different computer. Ya the latency shoots up for me and others don't lag till i log on.

    I'm using comcast high speed, too.

    It's because your router has to work with both traffic coming up and down since it's Public. So...
    Server => Router => DNS => ISP => DNS => Router => Your PC.
    It's kinda if you watch Youtube and downloading files at the same time as sharing files, keeping connected with other PCs, Routing tables and DNS, etc. So your router has to do a lot of work.

    What are the choices to fix this?
    I've heard of people running servers on thier own computers and holding like 50 people and I'm trying to only hold 2. Seems like something else has to be wrong.
