[MySQL] Password Reset Question.

Ok so, ive searched the forums, and couldn't find anything about this. Ive tried the posted method used on the mysql website, but to no affect.

Obvisouly ive forgotten my mysql pw. It changed suddenly, and now my regular PW dosnt worked. Ive stopped, reloded the process. Reinstalled and restarted my computer with no avail.

My OS=Vista

What i am looking for is a program that reset the PW. Ive used one before, but forgot where i got it. If some1 could post a program like this for the latest version of MYSQL id appricate it. Or even if some1 could write a simple [Noob] guide ? XD ~Submit

In your MySQL folder there should be a file called resetroot. Run it.

Found nothing even closely resembling such a name. XD, might wana check ur facts.

Start > MySQL > MySQL Server 5.1 (Number doesn't matter) > MySQL Server Instance Config Wizard

That program will put you on the path to resetting your password

Tried that before, all it does is try to install using the "existing" pw. Need something that resets that PW.
