I would guess youd probably need more ram if you wanted to host a server with that and not lag ... also your going to likely require frequent restarts..

Usually a good server comp needs at least 2 gigs of ram preferrably 3...

Though I'm not quite an expert, I know 512 megabytes of ram is not at all sufficient. My server is currently using 520mb with like 12 people online and many of them clustered in the same zone. Performance will be severely impacted since the OS will be forced to page out data in memory to the disk and vice versa. Your processor isn't great but I think the lack of RAM will have more of an effect.

However, much more important is the connection speed you're using. If you're running off of a home internet connection like your regular cable/dsl line your upload speed is probably very low, and will be the most limiting factor in how many people can connect to your server without experiencing really bad lag. I don't know the exact numbers, but I doubt with your computer and especially if you're using a home internet connection if you'll be able to host 15 players. Less than that to be sure, though by how much I'm not certain.

    Hope this was helpful

Well Getting more ram would be a GREAT idea :Sylvia:

but also like the poster above me said Upload is very important to. if your running off a home based cable or DSL provider then your probably going to be limited by your upload as well
