A couple Issues with Ascent/Arcemu!

i am running a public ( non ham ) gm server and i am new to this so i have a couple questions that i hope the mmowned community can help me out with:

1, I am using ac ultimate repack ( the one with arc emu in it not original ascent ). now for security reasons i need to change the user name and password to the mysql server how would i go about doing that and what conf files would i have to edit to connect to mysql with the new user name and password.

2, I want to make custom vendors. I have made a custom npc and spawned it. but when i add items to the vendor using .npc vendoradditems id### 1 everything goes fine until i restart the server then it says something is not found like a sell template of some sorts? how do i fix this?

3, i plan on making this a gm server where everyone is a gm however they cant have all the commands so is their anyway i can make a new rank with all the gm`s commands accept for: kick,ban,reset server, ect.. and how would i go about doing this and how would i make the default account automatically have this as a rank for a new account.

1. I'm pretty sure you will have to do the MySQLInstanceConfiguration again.

2. You will have to add the items into the vendor manually, add a new entry with your NPCs entry ID and manually enter the item Ids you want, you will have to do this multiple times.

You can use any letter you want for the access level as long as they are not already used, just type the command you would like to add for that rank and their roots.

Then go down and add recall port and recall list with the permissions D. To change someone's account to a account with teleport, change their privileges to D.

Enter your database by going to either Navicat or SQLYog, once there, find the table called vendors (It's in alphabetical order.), and open it, once you have done that, look for the + sign near the bottom of the window that opens (I don't know about SQLYog, but this is Navicat).

It will now allow you to type in a number, type the ID that you use to spawn your vendor that you are adding items too, then go to the next little box right by it and type in the item ID of the the item you are adding, then fill out the rest of the options, which should be mainly the amount of that item the vendor will sell.

Repeat this process with different Item IDs, once you are done, remember to save the table, when you are in-game, use the command .reloadtable vendors.

Now for the command_overrides table, which you should be able to find in your database, open it and there will be two empty boxes, you can now write the commands that you would like to add for a certain rank, which will be the cell on the right side (access_level is the name of the column, type a letter there you would like to use for the GM rank), each command will have to be done individually. When flagging the account for GM, type the letter you used in the command_override table as the letter in the GM column.

You can change your Mysql password with Navicat as well if you click the Manage users part at the top .. and then edit your configs to match the password you selected..
