Flexible Database Editor for Arcemu

this would be a great program if i could use it, lol.
Now, I'm not really good with computers, so please speak to me as if I am mentally inept.
I'm working on a private server with my friends, and using ArcEmu, with a repack by Johved (who got it from this site), and I'm trying to add my own custom content.
I originally had MySQL, but got rid of it because it wasn't working well with me. Later I downloaded the repack, and it didn't have MySQL with it and the server I'm running operates without. Now, I'm trying to use Flex, but I can't seem to find the correct database and connection, whether I run the server or not.

Any suggestions?

check your config files... the information of the DB is in there... you"ll find the login and password in the world config file normally... even the databasename. All the info you need is in the config file (world config) of that repack normally

Your friend has to make an account for you on his DB... (with navicat for example -> guides section)
then you fill in that info to connect and there you go...

Ehm, this program dosnt work for ArcEmu, when I am gonna make loot for bosses, I just get error Table 'arcemu.creatureloot' dosnt excist, since Arcemu use like loot_creature
and then I also get Unknown column 'mountdisplayid' in 'field list'. WTB update :P

if you downloaded latest version from the SVN it probably means flex stopped the development :-/

I am having the same problem as uber_panda. the same repack and everything. the the repack is running mysql. and the tools for data base editing are the flexible dbeditor and sipex.


it comes with a file in the tools sql database info thats lists:



You start the SQL server by clicking:
start database

SQL login info:
host: localhost
user: root
pw: root
port: 3306
world db: world
logon+character db: characters


as far as navicat there weren't any downloads nor was it with the repack but i have it from trying to make a server prior to johveds repack and it says it has a connection and the i named it wotlk but i didnt load any files in it like i did before just created a connection. ( not sure if you need all this info but i'm trying to make sure i dont miss details where as i've tried everything i can think of to get this to work)


but i can open fdbe and type in everything as follows:


host=localhost port=3306

username=root

pass=root

database=world


at the bottom of the login information box it say.......error while checking, i dont know if that makes a difference or not. but if i click proceed it gives me and error saying


unhandled exception has occured in your application. if you click continue, the application will ignore the error and attempt to continue. if you click quit the application will close immediately

could not a find part of the path C:\Program Files\ArcEmu\data\zones.dat'.

any other names in the databate ie:ascent, wotlk, section gives me incorrect input needs to be the same as the ascent conf file.


i really dont wanna throw my computer out the window but im about ready to so if you could help me straighten this out it would be greatly appreciated.

Lat, FleX stopped the development on this updated version like 10 minutes after he started it. Take a look at the last revision upload

Yeah this no longer works with the latest Arcemu databases because ArcEmu Has change the structure that it uses. So Sad. I have been looking for the latest version that would but there are no more database editors that will work. Id be happy if someone would prove this statement wrong.
