    Overview

    Is your servers Auction House a bit bare? Then this tool may help! Auctionator is an effective and easy to use tool/script which enables you to add tons of random items to your servers auction house with just a few key presses. It is completely customisable in that it allows you to define your own list of items to add to the auction house (or simply opt for Auctionator's default list of 32000+ items parsed straight from the WOTLK item DB) and edit settings such as what price to list items for & auction duration.

    Auctionator functions on a combination of hotkeys, macros and scripting. It's incredibly easy to use, and only requires a few hotkey presses in WoW to pimp out your auction house with all sorts of items!

    There is no GUI for Auctionator, but there is a handy menu which is displayed whilst the program is running. This menu lists the hotkeys and tracks Auctionators progress whilst creating macros and adding items to the AH.

    How To Use

    It is highly recommended that you check settings.ini (open with Notepad) before you run Auctionator. By default, the settings are configured to use Trinity commands. If you use a different core, you'll more than likely have to change a few settings. Open up 'settings.ini' before running Auctionator; the file is well commented and explains the various values.

    From the readme:

    How to Use
    ===========

    1) Setup

    Before you begin, you should open "settings.ini" using notepad, and take a look at the settings - you might want/need to adjust these. Once you're happy with the settings.ini coniguration, you may proceed(!):

    2) Beginning

    Once you're happy with the settings, open up your server, log into WoW and, ideally, create a new character specifically for use with Auctionator. Take your new character into Azeroth then load up Auctionator.exe

    3) Hotkeys

    I suggest using Windowed mode whilst running Auctionator. This will let you see the hotkey menu & progress of Auctionator. The hotkeys are as follows:

    F6
    ==
    Create macros: Very important. This should be the first key you press. This will cause Auctionator to automatically create & bind all the required macros. It only takes a few seconds, and only has to be done once (unless you choose to use a different character at some point, then you'll have to create the macros again). Please, don't touch anything during this brief phase, it may disrupt macro creation, and Auctionator won't be able to run properly.

    F7
    ==
    Start! This is where the magic happens - Your character will enter 'preparing' mode, adding gold and locating and interacting with auctioneer specified in the settings file. Generating and adding items to the auction house and all that sort of stuff! The Auctionator menu tracks this process so you can see, at a glance, how many items have been added to the auction house, and how many remain to be added.

    F8
    ==
    Cancel auctions. Hit this key to cancel all the auctions added by Auctionator in 1 swift keypress. Brutal!

    F9
    ==
    Quit. Hit F9 at any time to close Auctionator. Auctionator also automatically closes if the WoW window is minimized whilst adding items, or when it has finished adding the amount of items specified in the settings file, to the auction house.
    Thanks for looking, any problems, just let me know

    Lol, just noticed this reply. Way to judge a program based on a generic file scanning website. I've been developing software for years, and haven't once had a complaint of anything remotely negative or malicious from any user of any of my programs. Check out Trinitycraft & AQC. Over 5k downloads between them - which is no small number in this relatively 'grey area' of software development. Auctionator was coded using the Autoit scripting language. If you knew anything about software development you'd know that Autoit is notorious for raising false positives. What's more, file scanning sites like the one you so expertly used are sensitive as **** and more often than not, they flag perfectly harmless files for ridiculous reasons, ie. being packed/compressed. Also, what the **** would be the point in wasting my time and efforts creating a forum post and detailed readme document to disguise a malicious program... Among the WoW private server community? I see very little gain in obtaining the information of accounts on private servers. Also, I'm not a ****, and wouldn't do that in the first place. You don't have to download it, sure. And it's cool you're trying to be helpful - But, I suggest you learn your shit before flippantly dismissing the efforts of others. Ciao.

    Ok, So i tried this but it adds items to my characters bag and not into the Auction house.

    I edited the settings to work with ARCEMU.

    Code:
    ; Auctionator Settings File
    ;
    ; [email protected]
    ;
    ; Adjust the values and commands below to suit your core & needs

    [main]

    ;#####################################
    addcommand=.character additem
    ahnpc=5833728
    telenpc=.npc portto
    addgold=.modify gold
    duration=3
    minbuyout=1
    maxbuyout=20
    amount=10
    itemfile=32792
    sound=Sound\\Creature\\Succubus\\SuccubusStand2A.wav
    ;######################################

    ;
    ; +++ SETTINGS GUIDE +++
    ;
    ; addcommand ~ change this to the command your core uses to add items
    ; to player bags.
    ;
    ; ahnpc ~ the auctioneer NPC to interact with. ie. '24708' is Gullem in
    ; Thunderbluff. "5833728" is Fitch in Stormwind. '23442' is Beardo in
    ; Gadgetzan. These are Horde / Alliance / Neutral Auctioneer's. Change
    ; the NPC value to the auctioneer of your desired faction.
    ;
    ; telenpc ~ the command your core uses to teleport to NPC's.
    ;
    ; addgold ~ the command your core uses to give gold to players.
    ;
    ; duration ~ how long the auction will be listed for. ie. 12 hours,
    ; 24 hours or 48 hours. A value of '1' lists auctions for 12 hours,
    ; a value of '2' lists auctions for 24 hours and, yep, a value of '3'
    ; lists auctions for 48 hours.
    ;
    ; minbuyout ~ items listed on the auction house will not be listed for
    ; a buyout price any lower than this amount of gold.
    ;
    ; maxbuyout ~ items listed on the auction house will not be listed for
    ; a buyout price any higher than this amount of gold.
    ;
    ; amount ~ the amount of items to add to the auction house.
    ;
    ; itemfile ~ the amount of items (lines) in the items.txt file. Auctionator
    ; grabs item entry ID's randomly from this text file. If you use your own
    ; item list file, be sure to update the itemfile value to the amount
    ; of items (lines) in your custom item list. The default items.txt
    ; is an unsorted list of every(?) item in WOTLK.
    ;
    ; sound ~ play this sound when Auctionator is finished.

    Looks like a cool idea. I'll give it a go when I get home tonight.
    To Chaotic.
    Make sure you're close enough to the Auction master listed in the settings to interact. That could easily be your problem IMO.

    So just a quick update. The Auctionater does not work on Mangos Zero; I will be keeping updates coming to keep everyone posted as it's tested more thoroughly.

    Actually the settings make you appear on top of him. But still does not add items to auction house.

    Hey guys,

    Cool, glad to see people tried to use this at least - Sorry about any issues with compatibility

    I coded this about 5-6 months ago and no longer have the source, nor a WoW server to test it out on, so I don't remember the specifics, but it should work along the lines of something like:

    • Make a new character with GM privileges.

    • Jump in game, run Auctionator and Press F6. This is a 1 time use hotkey that lets Auctionator create all of the required macros.

    • Once the macros / scripts have been auto written, Hit F7 to continue. Auctionator will then self target your character and run the .addgold command and add a crap ton of gold to your bags to cover auction costs. You might need to adjust the '.addgold' command in the settings.ini file if your core uses a different command for adding gold to your own characters bags.

    • Next, your character will use the ".portto" command to appear directly at the feet of the auctioneer NPC ID specified in the settings file alongside the ahnpc field- Again, you might need to adjust both the '.portto' command and the Auctioneer NPC ID values in settings.ini to reflect the GM commands and ID's of your own core & database.

    • After porting to the Auctioneer, your character should interact with the NPC, bringing up the AH interface. From here, your character will begin randomly adding items to his own bags and then listing them straight on the AH. Yet again, make sure you've edited addcommand=".character additem" in settings.ini if required so that the items can be put into your characters bags.

    • If all is working smoothly, then it's best to leave the computer for a bit while the random items are added to AH

    Not sure anyone will actually still be interested in using this prog, but hopefully this helps if anyone runs into issues in future. The main priority is making sure your settings.ini file is configured 100% correctly, from there, it should only take 2-3 key presses to start mass listing items.

    I'm managed to get it to work.

    So I've got it to work in a way, first of all i had to mess around with the ids for npc to get the right one.

    Once i got that to work i made sure i was standing on-top of the npc before pressing "F7" with the auction house window open,
    i'll update with some more information later because it added some leather for me but kept spamming me with "Can't trade soulbound items!"
    That's because the item list is full of such crap, so unfortunately you will have to edit ALL of the items yourself because most of it are soulbound items
    and the rest are white and grey items, I hope this helped you.

    (Run through of what i did)

    1) Created a new character
    2) Stood on-top of the npc > Auctioneer Fitch
    3) Pressed "F6" and generated the macros
    4) Opened the Auction House
    5) Pressed "F7"

    It start processing everything then added some Clefthoof Leather to the auction house but then auctionator started adding soulbound items
    and i got "Can't trade soulbound items!"

    I hope this helped you understand how i made it work, unfortunately after some more testing it seems i'm right in having to change all the
    items in the text file, i suppose at-least this way you get to add what you want sold in your economy =(

    Well thank you very much for this lovely Auctionator RMUK but maybe next time add some more information about it.

    Some items

    Here are some items I've put together includes a lot of lvl 80 epics / some blues with tons of trade goods, flasks, enchant scrolls and so on
    this is a list of 160 items, I spent the last hour making, they are all BoE I made sure of that, you can either add it onto your own list or use this a base for new list =)

    TIP: If you add this to your own list make sure to count how many lines you already have and add 160
