[Guide] How To Compile a Aspire Core WoW Server!

    Hi MMOwned Members!
I am going to Teach you the Simplest Way to Compile a Server!
    Step 1!

To compile the Any Emulator, you will need the following Programs:

SVN Handler, I recommend TortoiseSVN: tortoisesvn.tigris.org

    A compiling Program, I use Microsoft Visual C++: http:// http://www.microsoft.com/express/vc/

once these 2 programs have been installed an are ready for use, please continue

step 2. Getting Your Source Files!

Create a New Folder On your Computer
Prefferably something easy like " Aspire Source " or something.
Next, You will need an SVN Adress, i will not post it in here in the guide so leechers dont abuse.
But Anyone with a simple Brain an Google Can Find Aspire SVN Adress.

    step 3. Downloading your source
Right Click your New Aspire Source Folder An Press " SVN Checkout "
It Will Have an Empty URL Bar, Here is where you put in the SVN Adress.

Next Click " OK " ab the Sources will proceed to download unless your SVN URL is Wrong.

    Step 3.1 While your Waiting
Depending if your core is " Stable " or a " Trunk "
You may need to get Ascent Windows Libraries for Visual studios 2008

    Simply download here
    Code:
    http://filebeam.com/44c5ae2aa19266452590eab37b04218c
    http://rapidshare.com/files/99571783/ascent-windows-libraries.zip.html

    Follow The Readme inside!

    Step 4. Compiling!
Once Your Sources have Completed Downloading Your Ready to Bear The Fruits of your Labor.

Simply Go into your " Aspire Source " Folder
Then into The "Trunk" or "Branch" Folder Depending on wich one you got
Then into The" Win " An Open up "AscentVC90.slc"
Visual Studios Will Open up an Youll see a list on the side.
Well nevermind anything here Except That Gorgeous little " Build " Tab at the top
click it, then roll on down to " Configuration Properties " or Something like that
An where the drop menu Says " Debug " Switch it to " Release " then click OK
Now Youll be back at the screen you were Before
Click the Build Tab, then click Build Solution an BAM! 5 - 15 minutes later youll have your Core Wich will be located in your " Aspire Source" Folder inside the "Bin" Folder.

YAY!!! youve Compiled Your First Core!!!! Check back Next time for more Guides by XCatalystX
