Making a server and making is public! EASY NOOB GUIDE

Ok guys i was new to this and it took me forever to figure this all out but i understand it and i know how to explain on a noob level. This guide is for AC Web repack so go download it off mmowned http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...ack-7-1-a.html and download this is the newest repack.***WHEN DOWLOADING THIS*** make a new folder called AC Web in your local drive c**

I am going to break this down into three parts:

    PART ONE: Making the server
Step 1:Open the folder with winrar and install the database, only takes about 2 minutes faster for some

Step 2:Change your realmlist to 127.0.0.1 (Remeber this isnt online)

Step 3:Logon with the default username Admin password admin and if that works you have your server working.

Step 4:Now thats all you need for server installations!

    PART TWO: Making it public
There are two ways to make your server public, using Hamachi or a Domain IP

Now if your using your server for just a few people of about 10 or 15 i use hamachi much easier to set up but for a big server of more then that you will need the domain. FOR HAMACHI go to JulianX guide for that i skipped hamachi and don't want to tell you to do something wrong http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent...n-hamachi.html

    Now for Domain, public
step 1: Go to DynDNS -- Dynamic DNS, E-Mail Delivery and Other Services and make an account.

step 2: Log in and go to Services DynDNS(Middle of screen) click get started.

step3: Put in your hostname for example Dementedwow.ath.cx (doesnt matter what . can be whatever you like)

step4: Check the wildcard box and the bubble with Host with IP Address

step5: Put your IP Address in click the blue letters will do for you, and then leave the rest and click creat host. OK that part is done now for the fun part =)

    PART THREE: Modify files
step1: Go to go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc and open the file called hosts(hosts.file)
    with notepad.

Step2: Open your ports, will not work unless you do. go to CMD and type ipconfig and put your internal IP address. You get a thing wanting a password and username. Usually admin admin will work but for netgear its admin and password password.

Step3: Go to port forwarding and put these in:
    3724 - 3724
    80 - 80
    3306 - 3306
    8129 - 8129
    8093 -8093
    6112 - 6112
    6881-6999
    3036 - 3036
    8050 -8050

Step4: You Should see this. Change what i have.

    # Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.

    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    ::1 localhost
127.0.0.1 insert your DynDNS info here
Internal IP Insert DynDNS info here
External IP insert DynDNS info here
How to find my Internal IP? Go to command prompt (Searh CMD) put in IPconfig and you look for a number starting with 192.***.*.*

Extenral IP? Go to What's My IP Address? Your IP is 66.79.167.170 and that will tell you

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF MINE:
    # Copyright (c) 1993-2006 Microsoft Corp.

    #
    # For example:

    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    ::1 localhost
    127.0.0.1 Dementedwow.ath.cx
    192.***.*.* Dementedwow.ath.cx
    **.**.**.**Dementedwow.ath.cx
the ** is numbers blocked off from you =)

Thats all it should work i put time into hope it all works well for your server!

All +Rep is greatly appriecated and post if you have problems

to open your ports you need to go in your router which you need the thing to go in it. how to get in it? open CMD and you see your IP Adress and you see usually a number starting with 192.***.*.* put the in your internet brower BUT TAKE THE LAST NUMBER OFF AND OUT A ONE! and you need a password and username to get in try these: Username: Admin Password: Black Username:admin password:admin NETGEAR IS username:Admin Password: Password
