Ok the deal is I have seen lot of people that are asking questions about setting up a server. Ok i am going to be as short as possible.(May this thread be stickied too, should it have success)
FIRST OF ALL.
A:Things you need :
1:You first have to download a repack from the site. Repacks are packages that pretty much contain everything you need to set the server running. Repacks , when it comes to Ascent emulators, mostly contain 5 things:
i) The logonserver.exe
ii) The Ascent.exe and sometimes
iii) The Website(or whatever one wants to call it).exe
IV) {OPTIONAL} An SQL bundle.
V) .conf files. : These are files you need to modify the details that you want the server to have. These are opened with notepad, and are easily used.
These are the things you'll need to set the server up.Yet, a repack also contains the files that are needed as a database, which are:
i) The DBC files, and generally many files needed as a database for items, npc and so on
ii) Map files : You'll most likely have to extract these files straight from your wow files directory. This is done using an .exe called ad.exe(directions on how to use this .exe can be found in this site).
iii) GM scripts
That's pretty much it about repacks. What you'll mostly cope with are the files from the first team as posted above.
2: A Program to modify the database (OPTIONAL)
Most people experienced in creating and modifying databases use several programs to experiment with the database. These programs are:
1: Navicat
2: SQLYOG
and of course others, that spawn like plants every day. These are the ones used the most.
NOTE: I would not recommend the use of these programs by anyone, unless experienced with databases.
B: How to start with the REPACKS!
Well, most repacks, as said before , have 3 files that you need to execute in a simple order.
1st: The SQL starter: This is quite optional because some repacks don't already have those.
2nd: The logonserver.exe This stops loading when " Hooking signals " comes out.
3rd : The ascent .exe This stops when some green letters come in the screen, featuring the name of your server, the latency, and the mseconds needed to create the mapping. NOTHING of this really matters to you, you just need to be careful. IF the last letters feature a word FAILURE, then you have done somehing wrong.
That's also what you need to execute, to actually start the server once you've put the repacks in your hard drive and in the correct place.
NOTE 2 : You may have been wondering why i have not mentioned the configuring of the .conf files yet. I won't , since this is a not-detailed guide, it practically gets you out of the confusion about what everything means. Conf files configuration and how to do it, are listed in the threads where the repacks are presented, by their creators.
Another crucial detail is that you need to change the REALMLIST file in your world of warcraft main directory. When you want the server to be non-public, you just have to delete what's IN THE REALMLIST (NOT the realmlist itself), and replace it with this :
set realmlist 127.0.0.1
That's it! You've done it! (Considering the .conf files are configured well)
Now all you have to do is to open the WoW.exe file located in your main WoW directory and VOILA! you can start playing in your wow server!
(This guide is based on AC-WEB ultimate repack series. It's purpose is to get people in the straight way right towards server creating, not being detailed.)

That's all for now, I hope I've helped some people a lot.(or a bit)
Yours truly,
Karkas
