[Guide] Having 3.1.1 & playing on 3.0.9 servers

I'm hoping this is the right section, considering it has to do with playing on private servers.

So, we'll begin by navigating to our World of Warcraft folder.

Vista:
C:\Users\Public\Games\World of Warcraft\

XP:
C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\


Once you have found your World of Warcraft folder, open the "Data" folder.
In there you will find a file called "Patch.MPQ".

Delete that.
Once you have deleted "Patch.MPQ", navigate back to the index folder.

Look for repair.exe
(Vista users have to run it as administrator)

Open it and click the big button in the top left corner of the window that says "Check and Reset files".

Once you press that, it should say:

World of Warcraft is seriously damaged and will need to be revered to an earlier version.
After it has been reverted you may need to patch up to continue playing.

Press OK.
Now let the repair run. It takes around 10-15 minutes.

Once it has finished you should be on patch 3.0.1

Now, start up your World of Warcraft launcher and let it start to patch back up.

Once you have done all the patches up to 3.0.9.9551, stop patching.

In your World of Warcraft folder, find the "WoW.exe". Right click it > Send to.. > Desktop

This will make a shortcut to the game. You do NOT want to run the launcher, if you do, it will patch back up to 3.1. "WoW.exe" takes you straight to the game.

While in your World of Warcraft folder,
press the key combination "CTRL+A"
This will select all the components of your World of Warcraft folder.
Then press the key combination "CTRL+C"
This will copy all of the components of your World of Warcraft folder.

Go back to where your World of Warcraft folder is
(Program Files if XP, Public\Games if Vista)
and make a new folder. You can name this folder whatever you want.

Open the folder and right-click > paste. Once it finishes copying, you should have a replica of your original World of Warcraft. Both of the folders should have patch 3.0.9.9551.

In your new World of Warcraft folder, open the launcher. You want it to now patch it back up to 3.1.1. But it will only patch up this folder. So now you have a World of Warcraft with 3.1.1 & 3.0.9

Yes good guide, I suggest also to have 2 copy of the game 1 latest patch and another 2.4.3, save you same time ; )

We haven't been on patch 2.4.3 since 2007.

Correction, 2.4.3 was the last patch of BC.
3.0.9 was before Ulduar.
