[Guide] Creating Quests For Newbs [ArcEmu]

This is a newb Friendly Guide which will go through step by step on how to create a Custom Quest and what you need.

What you need.
A Repack, Recommended ACWeb Repack.
Flexible Database Editor

How to do it.

First, Assuming you already have your repack up and running, you need to start FDE (Flexible database editor)

You will get this screen.

You need to enter your Database information. which is default. Localhost, Root, Password: Ascent and The Database is called World.

If you have entered the information correctly you will come across this screen.

Click on the Quest Tab.

Next you will see this Screen, I have made a example quest for you to see what to put where.

At the bottom you may notice there are more tabs, these are to define what you need to do in the quest,

Example, ID Of the mob you need to kill and amount of times. And Rewards.



Then Click Update.

Now you need to bind your quest to a Quest Giver and Quest Ender.

If you have not yet made your quest giver, you must do so now. Go to your Creature Tab on FDE.
When you create your NPC make sure the flags are Set to QUESTGIVER and GUIDE otherwise you will not beable to get the quest or talk to the npc.


Now you have made your NPC its time to bind it.
Go to your "Linker" Tab. > Enter your Quest ID and Click EDIT.

Then enter the ID or Search for the NPC in the Quest Starter and Finisher Section, then click update,
(Note this will not take effect untill next server Restart)

And Congratulations! You've just created a custom quest.
