How to Change Music [No MPQ Making Required]

How to Change World of Warcraft's Music, Zones & Others Without needing to make MPQ files

My first guide in mmowned (dont blame me )

Required: MyWarcraftStudio Download: Files » Programs » MyWarCraftStudio 0.9

    That makes this guide easier.

Step 1: Go into your World of Warcraft Directory, Open Data, Create a new folder Called Sound, open up the new folder you just created and make a folder inside it called Music, Go inside that folder and create a few more folders, one called CityMusic, one called GluescreenMusic, one called ZoneMusic and if you want to make one called WorldEvents.

    What Each Folder Will Do

CityMusic - Changes City's Music (Obviously)
GluescreenMusic - Changes Login Screen and Character Selection Music
ZoneMusic - Changes the music in a chosen zone
WorldEvents - Changes the Darkmoon Fair and things like that's music

Step 2: Open MywarcraftStudio, Open up Common-2 using it (top right corner on the Folder Button to open it up, Now Click Sound on the Left Hand Side on the little bar, and click Music.

There you will see the names of the folders you made, click on any of them but i want you to first take a look at CityMusic, and click Darnassus.

Once you have done that you will see a few MP3 files listed there now for the tricky part, create a Darnassus Folder in your CityMusic folder, and the mp3's listed down the side is what you will be needing to remember.

Go into where you keep your music, and copy and paste it into the Darnassus folder, now you need to copy and paste it 6 times and rename each one to one of the MP3's listed down the side, you can get 6 different songs if you want to as well, and rename them each seperate things to change the music.

Thats the basic idea of changing the songs, it works the sameway throughout you just got to know what your doing.

    Hope this helps!

So, this won't change the server music.. but your music?

This isn't exactly a server guide then..

It can't change the server music as you don't do anything with the server just inserts it into your wow folder.

Like others have said this is client side only (because it changes your files), the only way to get other people to hear what you have put in is give them your files containing the changes you have made.

Making this technically in the wrong section because it has nothing to do with a server
