    [Guide] Making a Private Server w/ Hamachi

    Okay, I am going to show you how to make a guide with Hamachi. This requires no ports you need to open and such. It's just less complicated then opening all the ports.

    Getting Started

    Things you need to download

    Hamachi - Used as host to make it public

    Navicat - To Edit your Database (Used with MySql)

    Server - This has a built-in MySql so no MySql download needed (I take no credit for this repack)

    MySql - (Optional Not needed for this guide) Okay, You don't need this but for people who want to use it for some databases.

    Framework - You'll need this in order to start ArcEmu.

    After that everything is bascially installed!

    Getting Public

    Now for the Hamachi, Click the Triangle thing and make a network. Now look at you're Hamachi IP at the top of the program. Remember that you will need it later.

    Now go to Config files. Inside the ArcEmu folder. Open arcemu-realms.conf (Note: Not all of them are the same the name of the file may differ) go all the to the bottom when you see this:

    <Realm1 Name = "Your Server Name"
    Address = "Your Hamachi IP:8129"
    Icon = "PVE"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "2">

    Setting up Navicat

    Okay, This is fairly simple

    Click Connection

    Connection name = Anything

    Hostname/IpAddress = Localhost

    Port = 3306

    user name = root

    password = password
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    Setting Up MySql (Optional Step (NOT NEEDED FOR THIS REPACK))

    Click Next. Click Typical if it isn't already. Then Install

    After that installed click Next Next, Finish, And Click Finish with "Configure Now" Ticked.

    Then do standard configuration. And do MySql5 and make the passwords ascent. Next and Execute. Finish.

    To add Databases. Go to the server folder with the provided databases and go to navicat right click the connection name and click "New database" name it world. And the another with the name logon. And right click world/logon. Find the World and logon file and execute them. Make sure the name of the database is the same as in the Config files.

    Finished

    Hooray your finished!, Now just click Arcemu-World/Logonserver and change your realmlist to you're Hamachi IP If I missed anything at all, Please by all means tell me.

    One thing you did miss to mention is changing your realmlist.wtf in the WoW directory folder.
    If your playing wow on the same computer that the server runs on, you need to set it up like this:

    set realmlist 127.0.0.1
    set patchlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com
    set realmlistbn ""
    set portal us

    taking note to change "Version" to "logon" on the second line of code.

    however, if your playing on a different computer, you would change 127.0.0.1 to the hamachi ip address set up on the computer the server runs from.

    Personally however, I do find HeidiSQL to be better layed out than Navicat, and considering, if you do use navicat, MySQL isnt a necessity to download. All the programs are used for the same purpose.

    Actually at the last part where it says "Finished" it says to change your realmlist. And I personally like Navicat. But by all means if you think it's better you can Download it.

    But if you have any questions, leave me a comment at http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent...er-public.html

    But do you know anything as far as, making npc's from scratch or using wow-v.com and then adding them to the database? I was able to make one on wow-v but when i went to import it, it said unsucessful.

    what exactly are you trying to execute?
    i dont see a reason why vista would matter. my friend has it on his computer but he uses HeidiSQL rather than MySQL. Try that and see it helps. I have a downlaod link at

    It should work, Their isn't really any reason why it shouldn't work. And Vista wouldn't matter.

    This also goes to the post before this saying that you like HediSQL better...
    This is why Navicat is my favorite. Hedi snips off a query at like 200 (or 2000, cant remember)characters as navicat on the other hand doesnt. If you want to be able to query in these files you need to use Navicat.
