Hey thanks a lot, I got it to work and I can join, but my friend can't join!

We're on hamachi. He can connect to the server just fine, and it assigns him to my realm, but when he tries to select my realm (he can see its name, so I know he can connect to me and that hamachi is working) and hit okay, it says "Logging into Game Server," and then after about a second goes back to the realm select screen.

How do I fix this?

i am getting "Connection failed due to unknown database character" error when i start logonserver and world ffss how can i fix it?

I'm up and running. I had to copy the database files from the data folders to my mysql data folders. Everything starts up fine, I can log in to the server fine, create a character fine, but when you log in, the bar fills up, and then crashes with a critical error.

I take if you are trying to use this on the 3.1 PTR client? Its the same error i get when trying to use a sandbox or personal server...
i am looking for help on that - but this is not the place - the fix will come out soon enough....

download these files and put them somewhere where u can find them:

world
logon

now open SQLyog and open connection root@localhost then follow this:
right click "root@localhost" ad click create database.
name it "logon"
right click the "logon" database you made then click restore from sql dump.
then click "..." then find your logon file wherever it is
now click "execute"
this shouldnt take that long.

right click "root@localhost" and create a database
name it "world"
right click the "world" database you made then click restore from sql dump
then click "..." then find your world file wherever it is
now click "execute"
this should take about 30 mins - 1 hr depending on how much space u have on your hard drive and how fast your processor is

now once thats done then you can open Arcemu-world.conf then change this part:

<WorldDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "your mysql pass here" Name = "world" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "your mysql pass here" Name = "logon" Port = "3306" Type = "1">

now change your Arcemu-logonserver.conf to this:

<LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
               Username = "root"
               Password = "your mysql pass here"
               Name     = "logon"
               Port     = "3306"
               Type     = "1">

close and save those and your done hope it helps

There are no SQL files =/

But you can create stuff then export them into a SQL file..

go into headisql and theres an export button do that and then go to mediafire or somewere and upload it
