Hey When i get to end of the execute of Mysql....on the "apply security settings" It says:


The Security settings could not be applied to the database becouse the connection has failed with the following error.

Error Nr. 1045
Access denied for 'user'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

If a personal firewall is running on your machine make sure you have opened the TCP port 3306 for connections. Otherwise no cliend application can connect to the server. After you have opened the port please press [retry] to apply security seings.

Now, How do i open the TCP port.

larzzon post the logon and world config file in code boxes here and I'll help you out with it since there is something wrong with your config files.

Severance01 Ok for the 3.0.8 repacks you dont use navicat all the SQL files are in the pack and use strait from it. you need to set up your config files then goto server folder run mysql from the repack then goto Arcemu folder run your logon and world exe and there is your server. now to add accounts and such you have to do it in the sever with GM cammands. most 3.0.8 servers logins are name admin pass admin. hope this helps you. as far as GM commands do a search for World of warcraft GM commands you will find em.

I dint find logon and world sql's :/ where are they exactly

Then go into Logon and right click and Execute Batch File and then go into the Repacks folder that you downloaded and look for the Logon.sql (should be named something like that), And do the same thing for World, you go into World and you Execute the Bath File and look for the World.sql in the Repack folder (should be named something like that) Its a .sql file though. The World usually takes a while the do and the Logon is fast.

i cant find World.sql - or any file close to this any help please

I found a new rapack like you said but since this is my first time tryig to host my own server I'm having some pretty scrub problems that I can't find guides to that are clear enough.

I got my Navicat thing running and have I got the logon
and world categories made.

But the problem I was having is I couldn't find the files to open when I do the execute batch file step in your guide.

So I got the Morphex repack (supposedly the best)
And it is the same way. None of the files are .SQL extention and I cannot figure out where to go from here.

Morphex Repack is my repack and nice to hear that people think it is the best.
There are none sql files in it, this is because all is done for you, the db are premade etc. All you need to do is to start mysql and the the logonserver and world.
