hey, man. i followed all of the steps in your guide and done everything EXACT and it was going well but when i try to log on, it says:

unable to connect

please help me out with this because i really want a server and so far, your guide has served me best. im not saying you are wrong but i think i did something wrong and i need help here. maybe a bit of guidance please? i did both guides. i want it public so that a few of my friends can play. When you start the logonserver and the worldserver exe's and they finish loading is there any errors shown?

"unable to connect" can be caused by alot of things.

uhhh, i have these running: logonserver.exe (no errors) arcemu world.exe(no errors) and cmd.exe but i still get unable to connect. what do i type for a connection on heidiSQL? im really in the blue and help would be VERY appreciated

I will gladly help you. If you would send me a copy of your config files I can look them over and make sure they are setup properly. as far as a connection with hiediSQL im assuming your running a mysql server on your local machine in which case 127.0.0.1 is the ip to connect to. If you are useing a repack for ascent it should be username root password ascent.

whats the point of this now that 3.0.2 has come out?

There is no 3.0.2 Repack unless you use Mangos
