    server setup noob friendly

    Requirements :

Hi, here's my first guide on how to make your very own private server. I had tons of troubles with it and finally did it. So, let's begin.

    Step one.

First off, you are going to have to have a repack. Here's a link to one of the best.
    (ArcEmu 2.4.3)

ArcEmu for 2.4.3.exe - wow, private, server, 2.4.3, noob,

    Step two.

Once you have downloaded the file. Unzip it, you should now see a program called ad.exe (or just ad) Open up your WoW Directory folder and put ad.exe in it and run it. (If you have problems with it running. Try running as administrator.

    Step three.

Once ad.exe is finished in your WoW directory folder there should be a folder named "maps". Put this folder into your ArcEmu folder.

    Step four.

Now. There should be a program in your ArcEmu folder called "start background" run it. (ALWAYS RUN THIS FIRST!) In the folder there should also be a program named account creation. Run it.

Here's what you could use for the info

    Username: admin
    Password: admin
    Email: care
Flags: 8 (if you have BC.. if you don't just put 0)
Is this a GM account?: AZ

    Now run arcemu.world
    And then run arcemu.logonserver

    Step five.

You are almost done! All you need to do now is go into your WoW Directory again and edit your realmlist to 127.0.0.1 (if you have problems with it saving, try dragging it to your desktop, edit it, and put it back in your WoW Directory folder)

    Final step.

Your server is now running! All you need to do now is log in with the user and password that you made using the account creator earlier.

    You are done!! Congratz!

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I have ran into every problem possible and know how to fix it.

    Final step.

    Now for making public.

To get your internal IP open up start, click run and enter cmd in the box.
next after your cmd has fully opened up type in "ipconfig" press enter.

ok its going to say ip address..... I.E 192.192.192.195 once you get that copy it to notepad or something, last 2 numbers are different because everybody's is different
    (gonna get external IP next)

go here DynDNS: DNS Hosting, Email Delivery and Other Services
    create a free account
once that is done click services, then choose dynamic DNS
click get started on the right side of the page.

ok here you get to make your own server realmlist.
name the first part then choose a service (i seriously suggest "servegame.org")
    check wildcard.
    leave "service type" alone.
when you get to ip address click Use auto detected IP address
copy that IP address and put it in the notepad with your internal IP, thats your external IP
    Click "Create Host" of course

    hopefully you kept cmd open.
if you did look for "default gateway..... 192.192.192.192"
you're gonna paste that in your Address bar
    now forward ports:

    80/80
    3724/3724
    3036/3036
    6112/6112
    6881/6999
    8050/8050
    8093/8093
    8129/8129

(forward all these to your "INTERNAL IP")

now you're going to open start, click run, but this time you put in
    C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc
there should be a file just called "hosts" nothing else in the name off that single file.
    open up hosts with notepad
    Code:
    # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
    #
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    Internal IP dyndns hostname
    External IP dyndns hostname
After this is done just going into your REALMS.CONF and change the realm address to your DynDns Hostname.
Your now public and have a server up and running
