Oh my bad thats easy to fix ill update the guide but ill tell you want to do.

Open you ascent-logonserver.conf and change

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "ascent"
             AllowedIPs = "192.168.1.XX/32"
             AllowedModIPs = "192.168.1.XXX/32">

put your IP which is 192.168.1.103 so just copy and past this

<LogonServer RemotePassword = "ascent"
AllowedIPs = "192.168.1.103/32"
AllowedModIPs = "192.168.1.103/32">

and you will be fine

ok good now set your realmlist to 192.168.1.XXX and get your friends to set thier realmist to your DYN dns eg: myserver.game-host.org

and yes the instances are scripted

You may have to fiddle around with the configs, or your ports may not be forwarded correctly.



Well you can take out the realmloop, it's not required. Also, you need to make sure that your logonserver info and world info is the same, or else they'll both instantly crash.


If you launch MySQL.bat from the repack first, then you can start Navicat normally. Make sure you connect to 'localhost' and username should be 'ascent' and password should be 'password'



Yes it does. Arcemu can be hosted publicly, I've done it myself. And also, I made a guide for it.



You don't need MySQL_installservice.bat to run. Just launch MySQL.bat, it should work...



Your ports need to be forwarded correctly. All of em, every port you see in all 3 configs is what needs to be forwarded, along with the port for DynDNS.



You can either use the account creation page which is difficult to use. You can edit that through the guide I made. Or... you can just add an entry in your database. It should be World > Accounts.



You'll need to fix up your .conf files. You may have an IP that should be '127.0.0.1' and it's something else. Look around and use trial-and-error.



Type '192.168.1.1' in your browser. A box should pop up where you can put your username and password. Depending on your router depends on the information. Usually it's:

User: admin
Pass: password

OR
User: (blank)
Pass: admin

Try those and you should see somewhere in firewall settings or advanced settings about port forwarding.



Ok go into your programs folder under control panel and remove ANY program with 'mysql server' in it. There's another server running on your computer under different configs. Also, you could just do CTRL+ALT+DEL to look at any running applications of a MySQL server. End the program and start up MySQL.bat and it SHOULD work...

I changed my logonserver.config file and my world.config file so the info was the same but when I startup Logonserver it still instantly shuts down. Okay.. I'm trying my best to understand all of this at 11:30 at night while I have a head cold Dx I did everything up until the "Making Public" part. May I ask where the 'Browser Bar' is? And then, do I pretty much use the AC control panel to set up my server? I'll try to figure out how to use the AC Control Panel on my own if that's all.

EDIT: Sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do I make a realm? Let alone access it...

Ok Hi. I followed the getting it public part. My servers public cuz my friends can connect and get to the realmlist, but right when they click on the realm it says logging into game server then go straight back to the realm list. Some said to degrade my patch to 2.4.2. How do i do that? And if i do will i still have sunwell?

2 questions:

1. does navicat has to be on and connected while playing wow with friends?

2. i followed your guide + some tips from replies and i can login but my friend gets stuck at connecting on login screen,.. what to do?

i get stuck on the arcemu-world.exe when its done it says something like could not connect, trying again in 10 seconds.
i have all the other things on before that wich i need ofc.. idk what is problem

I set everything in my config files like what was said. But when I start the logonserver it says "failed to connect to MySQL server on "myhostname.servegame.org" ' Did I miss something somewhere? I also already have MySQL running. So I don't know what it could be.
