[Guide] [How to] Find Display Id's for npc's, items etc.

Hey guys this is my first guide (for ascent/antrix servers) and i hope it helps those out there that have the same prob that i did.

Firstly, meet your new best friend: Welcome to VDRealm.com

Item ID to Display ID Converter - All you have to do is go to thottbot, find an item your like and look at the URL, it will have something like Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker - Thottbot: World of Warcraft Click that link and look at the url.

See at the end how it has 'i19019', copy the '19019' and paste it back onto your item ID on the site. Now click find, a new part underneath should show and your can get all your information from there. You can also just search the EXACT name of the item your are looking for and get its display ID.

    Ascent/Antrix Portal Maker -
I'm quite sure i dont need to explain this, there is about 100 guides about this on mmowned. Ill put a few links below.

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent...-winckler.html

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent...using-lua.html

Top 5 Most Popular Display Id's
Has way more then 5 display Id's on it. These are just some of the ones you make like to use that other people appear to be using alot.

    NPC Display ID Converter
Now for this, its about the same as the item finder but a bit different. Firstly for example purposes ill do it for you using an alliance warrior trainer in Stormwind. Creature: Ander Germaine - Thottbot: World of Warcraft is the lin for him and if you click the url (or if you can see it) it will show 'c914' which is the creatures ENTRY ID. (Make sure its without the 'c')

Put this into the NPC ID # box and click find.
So for my warrior trainer, the display id is 1504.

I hope my guide helps those that are stuck on finding display ids for npc's and/or items. If you do need assistance please feel free to reply to this thread
