[Guide] Set up your own 2.4.x private server [Noob Friendly]

Step 1 download the requriments


Mysql and Database : Download here Download the AC web ultimate repack and just start the Mysql in the server folder.


Navicat : Download here


Etzzhys Repack : here Updated

Step 2 Setup the Mysql and Database

Download the Mysql and Database and extract it somewhere at your computer and run the mysql.bat, the password will be ascent and the username will be root, and the database is executed already.


Download navicat and install


Click at conections in the left corner and username and passowrd is ascent, hostname is localhost.

Now you can edit the server settings.


Step 3 Download and make the server work


Download the repack and extract it somewhere at your computer.


Now open up ascent-logonserver.exe and ascent-world.exe , wait until its finished loading and your server works.

set your realmlist to 127.0.0.1 and login as

username : admin
Password : admin



If you get an error that said something like you have to reinstall the program to fix the problem you have to install visual c++.. that can be downloaded here

I keep on getting an error. "Cant find messagefile '\AC Web Ultimate Repack\server\mysql\share\english\errmsg.sys"
"Aborting". MySQL could not be started.

Thats my message. Whats wrong with the files?

when i start ascent-logonserver.exe, it says msvcp90.dll chould not be found.

i got windows 2000 pro sp4 installed with netframe 2.0 and visual c++.

i got the same problem as Raskemenn and i Downloaded AC Web Ultimate Repack 7.7 and it's still the same problem. Help plz? =)

when you install the 7.7 make sure it is all saved to C:/ and not to your desktop, I had the same problem but intsalled to C:/AC Web Ultimate Repack/ and now it works fine
