Well, You sure you got in realms.conf that realmlist 127.0.0.1?

yes.
on realm selection i choose the realm and it just loops back to select realm

Have you put maps folder and extractor to your wow folder?

I got the same issue, might it have something to do with this?(under..)
when i try to launch Ascent-realmserver.exe it gets a error saying:'
00:00 E MySQLDatabase: Connection failed due to: 'Acces denied for user 'moocow'@'localhost' <using password: YES>'

moocow is not my user and i can't find anywhere to change what account it acceses the database with, any clues?

Its odd i didnt know this until i tried it the updates wont work i keep getting an error. i cant show it cuz im not using my comp right at this moment

You don't need to run Ascent-realmserver.exe.

check your config files you dont have to rune the realmserver.exe it was said before

When I try to create a database it says Access denied for user 'root' @ 'localhost' (using password: YES)
