Retro TBC Repack

This is a repack of the old school Hellground private server core, later rebranded as Wargate, which was made public after the release of Classic TBC. The code was shared once before in 2014, but subsequent updates weren't made public, while this repack is of the newest code released in 2021.This core appears to have been based on a very old version of TrinityCore, as its quite different than other modern emulators, which makes it an interesting project to explore. This repack also includes a recreation of the offical Classic TBC PTR mall in Shattrath, with vendors, trainers, and target dummies. You will find those inside the sql folder. Have fun exploring a piece of private server history!

Instructions to run the server:
- Open the batch file "Start MySQL.bat"
- Start the login server "hellgroundrealm.exe"
- Start the game server "hellgroundcore.exe"

Remember to change your realmlist to 127.0.0.1 in order to connect to the server.

You can login with admin/admin.

To create a new gm account type this:
account create <name> <password>
account set addon <name> 1
account set permissions <name> 16131

To spawn the PTR vendors and trainers in Shattrath, you need to execute the file "Custom-ADD_SHATTRATH_PTR_VENDORS.sql" located in "sql/custom" on the "mangos" database using a MySQL client program like HeidiSQL, or the batch script that i have provided for your convenience. Use the credentials root/root to connect to the MySQL database. If you want other people to be able to connect to your server, you must change the ip address associated with the realm inside the realms table of the realmd database to the real internet ip address of the host machine.

I ran into some issues that prevent me from exploring the actual TBC content of the game using this repack.
Anything TBC related is locked - BE/Draenei character creation, even going through the Dark Portal is not possible.
I am using a 2.4.3 (8606) client that I've always used to connect to different TBC private servers.
Any idea what could the issue be?

Type this to upgrade your account to tbc:

Where "brotalnia" is the account name.
