sorry I am kinda lost

I want to run the server on my PC and play from my laptop.

Do I have to clear the port on the firewall from both my devices? And only inbound or also outbound?

And do I have to clear the ports for both devices trough my router too?

I tried to only clear it on the PC running the server because I never had to clear ports for playing on Elysium (so the PC playing does not have to clear ports right? Or is my logic wrong?^^), but it still could not connect from my laptop

You only have to open ports in your server machine firewall (windows in this case), and set IP before with "ipchange.bat" file, you must use an internal lan address, example (192.168.1.33).

Then in client you have to use that same IP address (the server IP LAN address) in realmlist.wtf file in WoW folder.

Hi just posting to ask 2 questions:

How can i show mob healths and enemy/non-party player healths from the server (i want the server to give the health pools rather than showing 100/100 or percentages only)? I know of mobinfo/mobhealth addons, but if there is a way/config option where the server can just give the healths would be better. For example: VG/Kronos/Feenix showed healths, whereas Elysium/Nost dont show actual healths, I want like VG/Kronos/Feenix.

Is there an option to disable rank requirements for puchase of R14 grand marshall/high warlord gear from the vendor? how can this be done?

You can disable rank with "Remove PvP Rank Requirements.bat" in folder Batch

i have a problem with rank GM no access commands ingame

@ J_Reilly Showing the real health of mobs would require recompiling the core. It is hardcoded to send percents.

@Siid974 Set your account level to 6 to have access to all commands. The default admin/admin account is level 6.

After many years away from wow emulators, i'm back and i wanted to install a vanilla server for myself (and maybe 2/3 friends later but it's not my prioriti)

Many forums posts pointed me to your release.

I downloaded it but i'm lost when it comes to install it. That's what i have

-World of warcraft client 1.12.1
-Wampserver intstalled (and user with all privilege created)
-Navicat

Like it's said, i launched "Start MYSQL" and "start APACHE" and when i launch realmdit says :

2017-07-17 01:29:34 ERROR:Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: Base 'realmd' unknown

and then i launch mangos and it says

Maybe i'm going to sound like a noob to you but i'm totally lost and never found a tutorial to use your relase

Does i have the good applications ? Am i missing a step ?

If it exists, do you know the adress of a complete tutorial ? (explaining what app to install, what to do etc ...)

You do not need Wampserver and i believe that could be causing your problem. Shut down all other MySQL and Apache services before starting the ones included in the repack. Everything you need to make your own vanilla server is included in the download.

Here is what you need to open in order to start the server:
1. Start MySQL.bat
2. realmd.exe
3. mangosd.exe

That's it.

Many years ago i played on my personnal server who needed Navicat and Wampserver that's why i installed them, my mistakes ^^

But i have 2 questions for you :

-When i played in my personnal server many years ago, to add a item in the database, i would have to create the sql (with notepad or with a tool i don't remeber the name) and add it into the database with navicat. With your repack, how does i do that ?

-I'm planning on setting up a personnal server (just for me) for WOTLK 3.3.5 with trinity core. It require MySQL server and Navicat/HeidiSQL. With your server (that i will keep because i like to play vanilla style and your core is very good) not working when i had wampserver up and navicat, how does i do ? Close MySQL server and navicat/heidiSQL and play with your core ?

1. To create a custom item you need to add an entry in the `item_template` table of the `mangos` database. Just duplicate another row to use it as a template and change the id, name, stats, etc. You can use Navicat or Heidisql to do that. Use name root and password root to connect to MySQL.

2. Yes, you need to close the other server and MySQL before starting this one.

If your computer is garbage and cannot load the maps, try with the x86 binaries which do not load mmaps, or simply delete the "mmaps" folder inside "data".
