The areatriggers doesnt work right now. We are working to fix it.

firstly thanks for the database..

secondly .. would you be able to post a direct link to the ad.exe for 8788 as i have searched emupedia without luck for the ad.exe .. and have tried afew other 8788 map extractors but still gett he unable to validate game version

or do i have to use the DBC from 8770 and maps from 8788?

You must edit whatever .sql file you're trying to execute.

Column length too big for column 'email' (max = 255)

`email` varchar(320) NOT NULL default '',
change to
`email` varchar(200) NOT NULL default '',

Same for; Column length too big for column 'TabText' (max = 255);
`TabText` varchar(500) NOT NULL default '',
change to
`TabText` varchar(200) NOT NULL default '',

The other errors comes up because the file has not created the account table yet.

If it fails, try update MySQL to the newest version

I cant it automattically goes to, program not responding forever, well atleast 20 min.

hey.. can u use the database with a 8820 wotlk beta mangos repack?? cause it is about the only 8820 repack out right now

Emupedia.com - Term of use there you can find an ad.exe for 8770. Because you need the DBC and maps from 8770.

I don't have the 8770 client release. Can I use the ad.exe on the 8788 client release to pull the maps and dbc? And which ad.exe do I use. I registered on EMU but I can't find the SVN with ad.exe

1. It's Illegal
2. It would take too much time...

Do I NEED to use maps extracted from version 8770? Is so, I'll reinstall update to 8770 extract maps and then update to 8778. I just need to know if that is the only way to get it working.

Hey, first of all a big thanks for your effort!

And now comes the big "but" =P

I discovered something while trying your repacks for 8788 and 8820:

You seem to have used the databases for a long time on your own server named Hollywood before you packed them and uploaded them so we can download them. How I found this out?

This way:
When I imported your database for 8788, mangosd.exe kept crashing while loading the database when it tried to load the group tables. So I started looking at the tables and found out that most of the character tables had a lot of data stored in them (characters, what items they had, guilds etc etc). So I re-imported the character.sql and realmd.sql and emptied all the character tables (guild, groups etc) and now mangos loads without errors.

What I then did was the following:
I exported the database again to compare the sizes, and there's a HUGE difference:

Your database freshly extracted from the downloaded archive: 304 MB

My exported database after I cleaned the character tables: 86.7 MB


THAT'S A DIFFERENCE OF 200 MB!!!!


So my humble request to you is:

Could you please please clean the databases first before you upload them here?

I'm guessing the same issue happens with your 8820 database, which is 400-something MB big, so I assume you simply added new scripts to your existing database that you use for your own server.

The realm database and character database is in the same database as world database, so just execute the database.sql and then you are ready to go!
