    Because alot of people are having Problems
    No, they actually dont. Your problem for example is so easy.. here is why it doesnt work for you:
    "Acces denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (Using password:YES)"
    The problem is: You havent opened a specific port, or you are using wrong password.



    EDIT: I gave you guys a link at the main page for a guide how to set up a wotlk beta server...

    help

    Why is it that I can't get past the "Authenticating" window? I can login fine... just never goes past authenticating.... Why?

    Yeah ok, try to restart your wow and server, then if that doesnt work, restart your server.

    (make sure you use patch 8788, not 8820)

    I am patched to 8788, I restarted mySQL(Xampp) even restarted my computer. Still sticks on the authentication screen. I believe I have my configs right but if I don't here they are below.

    ehm, i mean:

    The realmd database, the character database is in the same .sql file as the world database, so just execute the database.sql and you got all your character and realmd tables too.
