1. Create a new database in navicat, like "wotlk".
2. Select that database.
3. Right Click the database in navicat, select from the shortcut menu "Execute Batch File..."
4. Select the databases.sql file and away you go

Hello,
I've beenn trying this for a few hours now and when you mean new database in Navicat thats connection right? Well when ever i do it i get an error this is what i do:

But i keep getting an error saying : 2005 - Unknown MySQl server host 'database.sql' (11001)
SO could anyone help me? I really want to try this out

Moffeman you should write a guide on how to make the server, cause leechers and other ppl are gonna spam the thread.
do it work with 8820?

New Database is not connection...it's a new database.
1. Open Navicat.
2. Right click "localhost" or whatever your server is called.
3. Select New Database...call it whatever you want.
4. Right Click the database in navicat (eg wotlk), select from the shortcut menu "Execute Batch File..."
5. Select the databases.sql file and it will start executing the SQL, it creates everything you need, and it takes a long time...hours for me so far.
[Err] 1146 - Table 'database.character_action' doesn't exist ???
This most likely occured because you did not execute batch file correctly, maybe you tried to open the SQL file? In any case, the code is in the database.sql file line 87/88 to Drop character_action, and then create the table.
Deathtrooper...when setting up the CONNECTION with navicat to your server, the Connection/IP Address is just "localhost" - I'll assume you are on localhost (your own PC) because if you were doing this on a server, then you probably know enough not to get confused.
As far as editing the mangosd.conf file provided, the only things you must do are change the connection information...the file comes like this:
LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;password;realmd"
WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;password;mangos"
CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;password;character"
You need to change password to be your MySQL password (many people use mangos as the password).
You need to change the database which is the last part of each Info string above to be the new database you created earlier....all three use the SAME database...mine looks like this:
LoginDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;mangos;wotlk"
WorldDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;mangos;wotlk"
CharacterDatabaseInfo = "127.0.0.1;3306;root;mangos;wotlk"
Remember....it will take a LONG time for that database.sql to execute against your new database...someone said 20 hours, and so far mine has been executing (with no errors) for 34924s (which is nearly 10 hours) and it has not finished yet. So if you think you have it setup and have started from scratch then unless you have a super fast PC you may be doing something wrong.
The Fox
When I start the Mangos.exe file it says:
Cannot connect to Character database 127.0.0.1;3306;root;root;character
I have Executed the Database.sql but something is still wrong.
You need to edit mangos.conf.
Use this guide; http://www.mmowned.com/forums/mangos...ng-repack.html
