Hello just asking for soem detail info for public Hosting off IP Not "sure if im in right area"

soo i wanna host a public wow server i am building "not sure when" but i would like to know if i can host it off my ip And get a DNS proteor and just run it off my IP From home With out Server Hosting. till i get my server stable enough. to Decide. if id like to i know port forwarding etc. just need to know how and where to do this?

I believe many many years ago I used NO-IP to forward my home ip to a web address. the client runs on the PC and updates the hostname/web address.

There probably are other free services like No-IP.
