How to update your rev and database

Ok now i think this is a repost of an old post dno if its still here but soo many people have been asking this. (Gast i know its a kinda guide but its most revelnt here)


1) Download Gasts latest ascent compile and NCDB (Or compile the latest ascent and NCDB yourself

2) Take the updated Ascent files and replace them where your old ones are.

3) Chance the conf files as they were in your old conf files, for example ascent-world.conf, ascent-logonserver.cong etc.

4) Make sure mysql is running

5) Open the NCDB folder and edit tool.bat to your mysql user and pass

6) Click tool.bat and select update by pressing u and hit enter.

7) Open up sqlyog/navicat/heidsql and connect to your database

Execute the NCDB change sets from 1004 and above.

9) Start up your server and you have update it successfuly.

If You need to update certain tables like playercreateinfo

Open up sqlyog/navicat/heidsql then backup the revelant tables say if your updating your creature tables. Then find under the folder table_world the required table that you want to update.

If your character gets disconnected then you would use the playercreate tables.

I was hoping more guides would get put in the guide section, Seeing as anytime I go there for something interesting, there's week old "How To Set up AC-WEB Repack!" Guides

(which on a lighter note, Idk why they're so big, setting up an AC-WEB repack = Install > Control Panal > Start All)

a quick question... when i update do i loose my old database, creature spawn ,items , itemloot ,graveyard etc?

I was about to make a tread and see that here?....

yes you will IF you chose a new installation if you just update with the changesets you wont
