On my server RiSeN WoW, I use to have 50+ people in an event and no lag at all...I am using the same host but now when I have 20+ people doing an event maby 10 people it lags....like 20k ms lag...I have no idea why...could it be the rev? if so I got another problem there...when I change the ascent rev my melee donor gear is gone...everything else..but the melee donor gear is there...anyone know what could cause all this? +rep whoever can fix it.

Did you change your database when you changed your rev?

If you updated your items table in your db, you wiped out all of your custom items.
About the lag - try defraging your HD

I dont understand here:

when I change the ascent rev my melee donor gear is gone, but the melee donor gear is there

maybe first you had a rev that supported items with ID > 200000 and now you dont have... if your donnation gear has high IDs then that could cause the problem too...

change the Ids of the donor grear if that doesnt work the items dont support the rev..


The lag problem is probly because you have too much costem stuff on your server or maybe the host is watching porn and it just happends there is 20+ online and the bandwidth of his pc slows :P

lol watching ******... lag can be caused for many reasons the most common one is that host was surfing on internet or on msn both applications make your connection to get down a lot... also as tom said more custom things more things ascent need to load so people send info to ascent (upload) then ascent process it (ram) and return the info to them (download) so thats the main process of how this thing works...all is done in miliseconds... so if your server has latency of 4000ms its 4 seconds for the server to do all that stuff... you better get a hoster with faster uploading stream or tell him not to use that computer or internet band :P

Yeah I diden't mean to say melee donor gear again lol...it's caster donor gear and latruwski fixed my problem.....my melee donor gear is 200000-200008 =D and I got 500GB HD brand new..but im guessing my problem now is that it's running on XP :P
