Crashing a WoW-Server- Would These Methods Work?

Im sorry to anybody who thought the methods posted were immoral or wtv, the intention was to find out if they would actually work and so i can work on protecting my server when i get my new machine up.

Yeah, the deleting GOs really lags out almost any non-hosted server. So, I'd say
#1: Maybe, should at least lag out.
#2: Definite lag, possibly a crash.
And #3: Almost positive that would crash a server. At the least, it would lag for a few minutes.

Well, that reason is because they have huge dedicated servers, most startup private servers are just hosted on someone's computer. With servers like those, you need a LOT of people doing it, just plain luck, or a different plan to crash them.

just to be clear on all this... 1 if you macro /spit or any other emote a bunch of times the WORST thing you could do is lag you out.. most likely it will just ignore your requests in spam and only hit every emote after completion of first.. eg it takes the time to macro 10 /spits for the server to complete one response so every 10th one would go through. but in reality you are just going to spam local area with "X spits."

2 if you are able to ping a server to death in this day in age you have to be really special ed. Back in the day when ping meant somthing you could do damage to it... now a days, routers, servers, local servers etc discard large pings, approximate their response time.. (often this is the case with cable companies etc.. you ping bob's ip address.. it sends a single 1k ping to the ip and responds with the extrapolated data for 1024mb) so even if your victim can't block icmp because they are retarded their high speed company most likely will.

so to clarify pinging does jack crap anymore. and spamming in game commands that take .000000004ms of server compution time wont add up.

you got a beef with a server. go elsewhere. because you give the server 100x more information than they give you to hurt with.

I Have a garanteed crash but you wud need a GM to do it for you..

Put the doomwalker spawn in a macro go into ZA and spam it!

I did it on Felguard Network and it succsessfully crashed it.

And yeah it is not a nice thing to do to servers... I Understand what Chrispee is saying.

ughh the reason for this was not to crash other people's server, but rather to see how vulnerable ascent servers could be.
