What type of Internet connection is good to host a LARGE server?

WoWMafia is getting pretty big and I need more bandwith. My bro can't play on regular wow cuz he gets 4k ping sometimes, internet browser goes much slower.

What type of connection you think is best to hold several hundreds?

+rep to who tells me and gives a proper explanation of the difference between that connection and a regular home internet connection.

Just get a new router, an awesome router, find a good internet company. Pay them for the best connection they can give you and there you should have it.. a very good connection.

Oh, and use cable. Do not use wireless, it sucks.

LOL! Well Im 22, and yes that is me, so you might be a little young!

Anyway. Where abouts are you from? Id like to know about a high capacity connection too.

The problem with wireless is that its not a very reliable stable connection, the connection can drop out due to interference, distance from router etc. Wired is much more stable when you need to guarantee that data is getting from A->B. Wireless doesnt 'suck' if you need a flexible connection, but if you are going to devote most of your T1 line to a server and your players, wired is definately the way to go.

Get cox Cox Communications - digital cable TV, high speed broadband Internet access (ISP), and digital telephone services best internet. Make sure you have a good router, linksys is the best brand. If you were to get one from there i would recommend Linksys.com - Products/Wired/Basic Networking/Routers, Modems & Gateways/RV082
If you are not going to get that make sure the router has 2.0 Hrtz+ the more you have the more data that you can send in out and out. Hardwire your internet (hardwire is using a ethernt not wireless) Last is cox is extra good because they have power boost which boosts your internet speed up when your downloading/hosting a server. Thats all you need to know
