I know it's possible, because i see people releasing their armor sets all the time, so, how would one go about doing this? I know it has something to do with Itemsets.dbc but after that im lost, +rep for any help!

What people release aren't actually "Itemsets"
They are items, yes, but they arent apart of any perticular set. But we like to think that they are cuz they are named like "Regalia of Retribution" n such.
What i recommend is making armor and giving them common set names EX:
[Hood of Death]
[Gloves of Death]
Making an actual Itemset is intensive and requires loads of DBC work. You need to convert the DBC to a CVS then add in 8 or so lines to connect and add spell bonuses to your sets. Then convert it back and place a custom patch-d.mpq into your data folder. But in order for it to work you need a 2.3 Model Edit fix, and even then - Players will not be able to see the set unless they have the patch and ME fix. So end point- Dont even try the DBC method.
Oh i see, thank you, +Rep
