    I need help! +Rep if you can help.

    Okey , so I had a server that i started for about 3-4 days ago. First everything worked out perfect. But yesterday the website didnt work of some reason.
    And today when I tryed starting the server the server didnt work.
    I got an error message;
    something like; "Bind unsuccesful on port 3724"
    I have no clue what has happened since I did not touch anything. I am like suspicious of me so I thought it might be a gm i hired.. but yeah...
    And also, could it maybe be a virus?

    Either disable your firewall or allow port 3724

    I dont have a firewall, and how do I do that. and also, it worked 2 days ago... can the port has locked or something?

    Do you have a router? If so you have to go to
    192.168.1.1 *I think it is* in your IE and allow that port

    well

    well what i did when i started my server and it said that windown firewall even when you enable ports still wont and i went into my router and tryed to enable it so i just downloaded a firewall like a company firewall program so i got nortan antivirus and now when turn on ascent and logon it pop up saying do you want to connect and all ports and i press yes and all you really gotta do is get a firewall a really good one not the window firewall

    you may know already but without a bit more info here is a general answer..

    port 3724 is used by the logon server(realmlist port) so I would check your logonserver.conf to see if anything has changed... if you say nothing on windows F/W setup has changed and and you have no router then any kind of port forwarding can be pretty much ruled out.

    Have you tried a reboot of the box you have the server running on ?

    possible 2 instances of the logonserver running ? or a hung process, if you know how check the pids/processes and see if there is already a hung logon process.

    maybe post up your configs if you wish ( without passwords etc) and we can take a look see if anything is amiss.
