Help needed - how to insert .sql files with SQLyog

I am: THE biggest noob when it comes to mysql

I downloaded chrispee's custom NPC's

But, im not sure how to inject them into my mysql database...

I opened the .sql file, and it showed up the contents... but it didn't get added

Help appreciated

You can do this two ways mate. Download navicat and use the execute batch file which is what I do from time to time. I'm not a pro with SQLyog, but you can open up the sql file and select all and copy. Open of SQLyog and select your database which you want it to install to. Then paste what you just copied into the query window. That window by default is the big white box center screen above your Table Data window. After doing that look on your toolbar near the top left and click the icon that looks like two green arrows. Thats the execute all queries button. Give it a bit to execute and you're all done.

I'll reword what cylas said.

Open up the sql file, hit CTRL+A then CTRL+C.
Next open SQLyog.
Highlight the database you are using.
In the top right area of SQLyog is the query box.
Click there and hit CTRL+V then Shift+F5

Give it a while to execute the queries then it should be all good.
