How To Connect A Server (not normal way).

I dont know if its just me or someone else had/have this problem and i dont know if anyone has write this in a thread before me (then im sorry). Anyway, if you had/have this problem that you cant connect even if you do everything wright (get wright patch, edit realmlist.wtf etc...), heres how to connect:

1. If you havnt start WoW since the install do that, and just write in something in the "Accountname" and "Password" line. It should come up and error that its wrong information or that it cant connect. If it does, you made it wright.

2. Exit your WoW, and go to your WoW-folder (normally on C:\Program files\World of Warcraft).

3. Well in there you find the folder named "WTF" and go into the folder. If you dont have the "WTF"-folder, just repeat step 2.

4. In there it should be a config-file, if it is any other files dont care about em. Just open the config-file.

5. Well in the file, look for the line, SET Realmlist "us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com". Replace "us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" with the servers realm, so it would look like this: ex. SET Realmlist "your server". If you dont have that line just copy, SET Realmlist "us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" and put it right after the last line written in the file, without any backspaces or anything like that. Save and close the file and your done, now start your world of warcraft and connect (btw, dont forget to register an account before connecting to the server ^^). Hoped it helped

no most people go through realmlist.wtf but this changes the data so if changing the realmlist doesnt work he tells use to do this +rep too

this is good info...but is a but.
when you change the realmlist file and save it,and enter wow and login in on that realmlist....then the config file in the WTF folder will automaticly change the set realmlist inside it to the same that is in the realmlist file.

It works like that to me,i never change the config file,just the realmlist file.

Yeah you are wright, but for me (and maybe other players) i doesnt work. The config file restores itself directly when i start the game again. So i searched for an answer why i couldnt connect. I found it, and now i put it up here on mmowned so all players that got the same problem as i had, gets help

okey, i did think the realmlist file did work to every1...but i did take wrong then.
