[Question] how to change the wow trial to connect to my server?

me and a friend tryed to changed a wow trial to see if it could connect to our server, instead it went all wrong. basically it was the normal wow trial, not the TBC trial, and we went to downgrade it to 2.1.0 by deleteing patch.MPQ, but there was another file called patch2.MPQ, so we deleted both, then repaired the files so that it would downgrade to 2.0.0, so that then we could patch it back up to 2.1.0, but after the repair, we couldnt open the program, it just crashs every time.

can some 1 tell me, what i need to change the wow trial to connect to our server, coz i thought the patchs would upgrade it to TBC, without us having to download the TBC trial.

what? i dont understand you.
if you make a private server then you need to make your own accounts

Yeah.... Here is a link to one of my old posts that could help you out

Step one : Open your main DB is Navicat/Mysql
Step two : Find the table called "Account" and open it.
Step three : Change account to 1 if its your first account and if its your 2nd account change it to 2 so on....
Step four : Change login into your desired account name.
Step five : Change Password to your desired password.
Step six : Change GM into az ( i have no clue why but it gives you admin )
Step Seven : DO NOT DO ANYTHING to Banned, Lastlogin, lastip
Step Eight : Removed because its a worthless step!
Step nine : Change flag into 8 if you want it BC and 0 for normal wow

DONE!

Or use your repair button in the WoW folder if your talking about Blizzards WoW and not an Emu Server

The WoW trial client is a different program than the normal WoW client, it isn't supported by Blizzard's torrent service so it wont patch and due to different client side limitations will be unable to connect to your server.

If for some reason you really need two WoW clients on your computer all you need to do is rename your WoW folder to something other than "World of Warcraft" and install a second WoW. Changing your realmlist though will always be the easiest way.

Daxo I think you misunderstood what the OP was asking. He's trying to connect to his server with a WoW Trial client.
