I've been bouncing around the help areas alot the past few days and have noticed a fair amount of folks asking "How can i create a custom vendor?". This is the basic setup I use to make a custom vendor simple and quick. I'll break this down short and sweet and you'll be installing new vendors by the dozens in a matter of minutes.
If you've done everything correctly then you will have a neutral faction npc with your very own name. You can modify the display ID and faction very easily using the .mod faction ## or .mod displayid ## commands in-game. I'm only familiar with Ascent databases so I'm not sure if this will work with other DB builds etc. I currently run the Milestone 0.2 database. - Find the numbers "50100". That is what your entry ID will be in your database. Change that to something you can easily remember, but make the number high enough that it won't conflict with current entries. MAKE SURE YOU REPLACE BOTH ENTRIES SO THEY ARE IDENTICAL.
- Next, find the area "MAIN NAME HERE". Replace it with what you you want it to be.
- Now find the area "SUB NAME HERE". Replace it with what you what that to be. Remember the sub name is what will be between the < > tags of the npc just like a where your in-game guild goes.
- Finally, with that done, copy and paste it into a sql file, save and the execute the batch file. If you prefer not to or don't know how to execute a batch file, simply copy and paste this into your queries window and execute.
