MySQL database upload

Does anyone know how to upload a database via FTP to a MySQL server? I am running Debian 4.0 and don't know of any tools compatible with linux to aid in a normal upload of the sql files.

I found the command to upload it via terminal. You can't use Windows apps on Linux... Are there enough people interested in running private servers in Linux to where someone would want me to make a tutorial on how to do it?
