[Help] Problems with opening the database and ascent

When I open Ascent-World, and Ascent-LogonServer it comes up with this:

1045-Access Denied for user 'root'@'localhost'(Using password: YES)

and then crashes. Also when I try to open the database via navicat it says that too.

+Rep to a solution to this problem.

did you configure mysql good?
did you change the mysql info in the config files to the info you picked when you configured MySQL ?

Well when I attempt to configure MySQL, I get to the part were you click Execute and it configures it. However, when it gets to 'Apply Security Settings' it comes up with the error that comes up when I attempt to start ascent or access the Database.

did you try to remove MySQL and install MySQL 5.0 ?

Well my SQL is already V5.O.

You have some info messed up somewhere in your Ascent logon, realm files. That's all I can think of. Make sure you have the same username and password for each of those files in the right places.

Wrong password trying to connect to MYSQL. I would uninstall MYSQL and delete the MYSQL folder in C:\Program Files\MySQL (MySQL Server 5.0) or whatever your hard drive name is and reinstall MYSQL.
