[Help] PVP does not work

Well, I did a search found a few things on this topic, but those were outdated and none of them had the answer.

My problem is on my Ascent server is that PVP is not working. In battlegrounds you do not get flagged, in arenas you don't get flagged, in contested areas and enemy cities you don't get flagged, and if you type /pvp you will not get flagged.

I'm not sure how to fix this problem and I do not want to have to compile everything again. Is there anyway that I can solve this?

You're missing the map files.

I checked and I do have the maps in. I extracted them again and tried that but still nothing.

Check if the folder is named correctly

"maps"

not capital m, beacuse as Spidey said, it can only be the maps files

That won't be needed actually

If you still can't PVP, and your DBCs are not from your client, the guy who released them may have changed the PVP zones to non-PVP :P

But if you still can't discover areas, that's 100% a maps issue.

Thanks everyone for tryin to help out, i think it may have been with my DBC's. i just ended up compiling everything again and using a different database. Everything works fine now,
