I do not know about target being indoor or outdoors.

I put a mount that I use on my action bars and do a pixel read on the that action button to determine if I am indoors or outdoors.

I think the easiest option here, is gonna be to just call the trace line internally...

Or you can try to reverse the minimap 'blips'... maybe SetBlipTexture() or GetPingPosition() can help... I'm sure there's a list of 'minimap entities' or such somewhere in game... maybe if you can find an exact minimap coordinate of an object you can scan memory for them.

I can't look at it for probably quite some time, but hopefully you can find something

you use to check via dbc / wmo area table as out of process i havent looked into that since they changed formats etc i use method can mount etc way
