Call it like:
ReleaseSpirit(localPlayer, false)

For some reason second argument is always 0, didn't bother to reverse further, but this works.

Second parameter assigns the "CheckInstance" field in the packet that gets sent. You will notice that if you die in the air and relog that you will automatically release spirit when your body hits the ground. This is where it is used. I assume it tells the server to perform extra checks before releasing us.
